CTRL/BAS is the solo project of Bas: a DJ, producer, and energy-bringer who blends techno and trance with catchy, sometimes dark melodies and nostalgic influences from the ’90s. His musical journey began in childhood with the alto saxophone and evolved through years of festival experiences, from the harder styles to the melodic techno scene. Along the way, he developed a deep passion for fast-paced, high-energy hard trance, hard groove, and techno. From that journey, CTRL/BAS was born in 2025.

On stage, Bas radiates pure energy and enthusiasm. His sets are defined by visible joy and a powerful connection with the crowd. With every beat, he brings a contagious vibe, inviting the audience to lose themselves in the moment. As an artist, he’s all about unleashing raw energy: pounding kicks at 130 BPM and pushing well beyond 160 BPM, layered with trancey synths and experimental instincts.

“In my music, I’m always chasing the balance between control and release. I want people to really feel the energy — to be swept away by tracks and sets that hit hard, but still carry light. I love taking a journey from hard trance to hard groove to the heavier side of techno.”
